You play as Shade in the single-player campaign, while multiplayer lets you choose your racer. The Star Wars Galactic Racer character list contains 19 multiplayer selection entries: 13 standard racers and 6 Podracing racers, with Goli & O2-R0 counting as one entry. Anakin Skywalker is absent from the playable Podracing lineup.
Which racers are in standard multiplayer?
Shade is available by default. You unlock the other 12 standard racers through multiplayer progression, ending with Kestar Bool at Multiplayer Rank 40.
| Racer | Racer Style | Unlock requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Shade | Ramjet Rider | Available by default |
| Katja Mox | Tech Expert | Multiplayer Rank 2 |
| Griff Halloran | Afterburner | Multiplayer Rank 4 |
| Ary Quill | Redliner | Multiplayer Rank 6 |
| Soren Zaks | Engineer | Multiplayer Rank 8 |
| Nik Skandaro | Survivor | Multiplayer Rank 12 |
| Goli & O2-R0 | Clean Racer | Multiplayer Rank 18 |
| Fola Kanjen | Tenacious | Multiplayer Rank 22 |
| Sen Fira | Slipstreamer | Multiplayer Rank 24 |
| Biddy Blas | Firebug | Multiplayer Rank 26 |
| Malis Vazosk | Brawler | Multiplayer Rank 30 |
| Lyren Shok | Stunt Runner | Multiplayer Rank 34 |
| Kestar Bool | Weaponised | Multiplayer Rank 40 |
To check that you have the intended racer, match both the name and Racer Style in character selection. The style labels distinguish their starting setups; Ramjet Rider belongs to Shade.
Ary Quill / Arie Quill: both spellings appear, with Ary Quill dated October 6, 2026 and Arie Quill undated. They refer to the same roster entry, so you should not count a second Quill racer.
Which characters can you play in Podracing?
Multiplayer Podracing opens at Multiplayer Level 5. All six of its racers unlock automatically; you do not need to reach the standard roster's individual rank requirements to get them.
| Podracing racer | Positive vehicle trait | Tradeoff |
|---|---|---|
| Dud Bolt | Optimized Nozzles: increased Afterburner power and top speed on straights | Draggy Control Surfaces: reduced top speed while cornering |
| Gasgano | Energy Surplus: increased Afterburner power and tank refill rate | Large Cross-Section: increased drag reduces top speed |
| Teemto Pagalies | Bleeding-Edge Tech: increased Afterburner power and improved cornering maneuverability | Small Thrusters: reduced maximum top speed |
| Sebulba | Built for Battle: collisions deal more damage and you receive less | Old Dog, Old Tricks: slower Afterburner tank refill |
| Ben Quadinaros | Double Control Surfaces: reduced drag improves cornering | Complex Interlocks: collisions cause you more damage |
| Ody Mandrell | Overbuilt Engines: increased maximum top speed | Massive Momentum: reduced cornering maneuverability |
The two pools can look like one big roster at first. Read them by event type: the 13 standard racers belong to standard multiplayer, and these six belong to Podracing. Once you reach Level 5, check the Podracing selection for these six names rather than looking for them among standard racers.
Which Podracer setup fits you?
Each Podracer brings an advantage with a cost. Pick around the problem you want to avoid, rather than assuming a familiar character is automatically the strongest.
Gasgano: recommended for clean, defensive racing
Gasgano starts with Shield through Protected. Mint Condition considerably increases his speed, but a crash removes that bonus, so protecting your line is the steadier choice than forcing a collision. Power to Thrusters grants 10 seconds of surging when his shielded status is lost; losing protection can still give you a burst of speed.
Dud Bolt: stronger on straights
Dud Bolt's increased Afterburner power and top speed apply on straights. His cornering speed penalty makes that advantage less attractive if turns are where you already lose ground.
Teemto Pagalies: maneuverability over maximum speed
Teemto improves cornering maneuverability and Afterburner power, while sacrificing maximum top speed. His strategic style also focuses on clearing negative status effects, giving you a recovery-oriented alternative to chasing the highest speed ceiling.
Sebulba: suited to contact
Sebulba's collision damage tradeoff favors contact: you deal more damage and receive less. His slower Afterburner refill is the price, so that protection does not make him the obvious choice for a race built around frequent Afterburner use.
Ben Quadinaros: cornering with a collision risk
Ben's reduced drag improves cornering, but collisions hurt him more. If you choose him for easier turns, leave room around rivals instead of spending that handling advantage on contact.
Ody Mandrell: speed with harder turns
Ody raises maximum top speed and reduces cornering maneuverability. Choose him if that speed advantage suits you, but account for the handling cost before committing to a tight line.
Are Anakin, Kestar Bool, and Ramjet characters?
Anakin Skywalker is not a playable Podracing racer. You can choose Sebulba, Ben Quadinaros, and the other four names above, but Anakin is not an extra selection hidden behind the standard multiplayer rank list.
Kestar Bool is playable in standard multiplayer at Rank 40. He is also the Galactic League's reigning champion and Shade's main rival in the campaign. His Racer Style is Weaponised.
Ramjet is not a named racer in this list. It refers to a vehicle acceleration mechanism and appears in Shade's Ramjet Rider style name. Searching for all characters under “Ramjet” can therefore point you toward a setup label rather than another character.
Hibi, Shade's mechanic and companion, and Darius Pax, the Besalisk who founded the Galactic League, are story characters outside the 19 playable selection entries. Alternate names such as Team Topagles, Sabala, Ben Quantinos, and OD Mandrrell have no confirmation as separate racers.
You now have all racers separated by mode, with the ranks needed to reach your pick. If Shade caught your eye, continue to Star Wars Galactic Racer Shade; for the returning four-engine Podracer, see Star Wars Galactic Racer Ben Quadinaros.
