Kit Points sit on the cosmetic side of your Tour progression. In STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™, Kit Points pay for vehicle models and paint jobs, and you can earn them by successfully completing a Field Test whose reward list includes them. Your points carry over between Tour attempts; look in the menu's Customize option for vehicle appearance settings.

What do Kit Points buy?
Kit Points are your makeover budget: new vehicle models (body kits) and paint jobs. A new model changes the look only, not how the vehicle performs.
The game has three currencies:
| Currency | What it is used for | What that means for your goal |
|---|---|---|
| Kit Points | Cosmetic vehicle models and paint jobs | Choose these when you want a different appearance. |
| Credits | Perks and abilities during a Tour | These serve purchases within the Tour. |
| Tuning Points | Unlocking the other two vehicle types and buying permanent upgrades for all three | These serve vehicle unlocks and lasting upgrades. |
If your goal is improving your setup, that is a different decision from choosing a paint job. For that, see the best build page.
How do you earn Kit Points from a Field Test?
The reliable route is a Field Test with Kit Points listed as a success reward. Hover over an event on the Tour route map to see its Pass rewards before you pick it.
Find a Field Test on the Tour route map
Hover over or select a Field Test node on the Tour map.
Check the success reward list
Under Rewards > Pass, look for Kit Points. Fail gives no rewards.
Complete the Field Test successfully
You only get the rewards if you pass. You can't lose a League Token in a Field Test, so it's a safe pick. The exact number of Kit Points per Field Test hasn't been confirmed.
Check the reward before choosing your route. Field Tests are a demonstrated way to earn Kit Points, but nobody has confirmed that they are the only way, or that ordinary Race, Eliminator, and multiplayer events also award them.
For the Tour itself, see the STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ runs guide when your next decision concerns the Tour itself.
Where do you spend them, and what should you check?
Kit Points fund cosmetic purchases, while Customize in the menu is where vehicle models and liveries are customized. Start there when you want to change your vehicle's appearance. Landspeeder kits, for example, cost 100 Kit Points each (see landspeeder models). Since none of it affects performance, buy whatever look you like. For the menus, see STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ customization.
Do you need to spend them before a Tour ends?
No. Kit Points carry over between Tour attempts, so you do not need to rush a cosmetic decision just to use the points during the current attempt.
Your cosmetic vehicle models and liveries also persist throughout each Multiplayer Tour, since those appearance settings are made outside that mode.
