Unlock 20 Favors through campaign events. STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ unlockables also include Racer Styles earned through racing milestones, abilities from Hibi's packs, additional vehicle classes, and cosmetic rewards. Most campaign unlock routes start in the Galactic Tour, while multiplayer characters use a separate progression track. Start with the requirement for the reward you want, then check its mode before spending points or choosing an event.
How do you unlock every Racer Style?
You unlock campaign Racer Styles by completing events, accumulating specific racing actions, or finishing the campaign as Galactic League champion. Survivor is your starting style after the opening; the others have distinct requirements.
The table separates first unlock from Rank 2 and Rank 3 upgrades. For those upgrades, equip the style at the start of a Galactic Tour and perform its required action while using it.
| Racer Style | First campaign unlock | Rank 2 requirement | Rank 3 requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
| Survivor | Complete the campaign opening and enter the competition | 180 seconds Shielded | 360 seconds Shielded |
| Tenacious | Complete 4 Galactic Tour events; wins are unnecessary | Complete 8 Tour events | Complete 16 Tour events |
| Redliner | Use Ramjet for 375 seconds | Use Ramjet for 460 seconds | Use Ramjet for 920 seconds |
| Brawler | Perform 20 takedowns | Achieve 24 takedowns | Achieve 48 takedowns |
| Ramjet Rider | Use Ramjet for 950 seconds | Use Ramjet for 460 seconds | Use Ramjet for 920 seconds |
| Tech Expert | Activate abilities 80 times in races | Activate abilities 20 times | Activate abilities 40 times |
| Afterburner | Win 35 Galactic Tour events | Win 8 Tour events | Win 16 Tour events |
| Stunt Runner | Spend 240 seconds airborne | Spend 25 seconds airborne | Spend 50 seconds airborne |
| Engineer | Activate abilities 100 times in races | Activate abilities 20 times | Activate abilities 40 times |
| Firebug | Perform 48 takedowns | Achieve 24 takedowns | Achieve 48 takedowns |
| Slipstreamer | Win 40 Galactic Tour events | Win 8 Tour events | Win 16 Tour events |
| Ice Cold | Activate abilities 160 times in races | Activate abilities 20 times | Activate abilities 40 times |
| Clean Racer | Win 60 Galactic Tour events | Complete 8 Tour events | Complete 16 Tour events |
| Weaponized | Beat Kestar Bool, finish the campaign, and become champion | Achieve 24 takedowns | Achieve 48 takedowns |
Use the Logbook to read the rank and Next Rank requirement. A Redliner entry showing two stars and Use Ramjet for 779/920s is progress toward Rank 3. A one-star Weaponized entry showing Achieve 0/24 Takedowns is progress toward Rank 2. Neither number is the initial unlock requirement. Tenacious can show three stars, MASTERED, and Reached the championship with this Racer Style.
Tenacious: recommended if finishing events is the problem
Complete 4 events without worrying about winning them. Tenacious starts races with Autopilot and allows one extra crash per race, so it gives you more room to survive while working toward other rewards. Chasing a risky takedown when you only need a finish adds danger without helping this unlock.
Redliner or Ramjet Rider: choose the boost behavior you want
Redliner strengthens Ramjet use in the red zone; Ramjet Rider starts with Vent and makes Cooled more effective. The first rewards pushing peak power, while the second supports more consistent Ramjet use. Check the correct entry's requirement rather than treating their shared upgrade thresholds as shared unlock thresholds.
Brawler or Weaponized: choose according to campaign progress
Brawler becomes available after 20 takedowns and starts you with Ion Bolt. Weaponized requires the championship, so grinding its 24-takedown upgrade target before beating Kestar will not replace that prerequisite. Both support offensive racing, but Brawler is the reachable option while you are still working through the story.
How do you unlock all 20 Favors?
You unlock all 20 Favors through story progress, Field Tests, Backer ratings, rival victories, purchases, and Mystery Encounters in the Galactic Tour. Several depend on random map events, so a single Tour cannot guarantee the whole collection.
| Favor | What you must do | Base reward when equipped |
|---|---|---|
| Clandestine Aid | Complete Act 1; receive it from Darius Pax | 1 extra League Token |
| Mad Genius | Talk to Hibi on a later planet, usually after about a dozen crashes | 1 extra crash per event |
| Gadgeteer | Complete 6 of Hibi's Time Trial Field Tests | 1 extra vehicle Part slot |
| Feet First | Complete your first Sebulba Tales of Podracing event in Act 2 or 3 | Ability Pack after the first Tour event |
| Old Greats | Complete every Sebulba Tales of Podracing event | 50% chance to repair a Faulty Part after a successful Podracer Challenge |
| Team Vranki | Choose The Hutt in Act 3 and reach Derven Acos with a Satisfactory overall rating | 100 Credits per unused crash after an event |
| Deeper Pockets | Choose The Broker in Act 3 and reach Derven Acos with a Satisfactory overall rating | Reward packs lose one option but gain a 20% chance of increased rarity |
| Bloody Bounty | Choose The Pirate in Act 3 and reach Derven Acos with a Satisfactory overall rating | 1 extra choice in reward packs |
| Preferred Customer | Buy 4 parts from Ori and Per's random Legendary Parts event | Scrap Dealer appears twice as often |
| Smuggler's Hope | Complete 6 Ramjet Field Tests from Soren Zacks | 1 part in Hibi's Shop at a 50% discount |
| Fan Club | Win Lyren Shok's rival head-to-head race | Top-three finishes have a 20% chance of a bonus +1 Upgrade Pack |
| Racer Roulette | Keep accepting Biddy Blas's bets and increases in Mystery Encounters within one Tour; beat him until he gives up | 1 League Token for winning 6 Biddy Blas Sidebets in one Tour |
| Victorious Loser | Win Griff Halloran's rival head-to-head race | 50% more Credit rewards for bottom-three finishes |
| Unassuming Prodigy | Complete 2 Field Tests from Goli and 02-RO | Start a Tour with +2 in one random vehicle stat |
| Silent Defiance | Win Sen Fira's rival head-to-head race | 25% chance of a bonus Part Pack after an event |
| Underhanded Upperhand | Pay for Malis Vazosk's services 4 times during Mystery Encounters | System Malfunction lasts three times longer on Sidebet or Head-to-Head opponents |
| Second Chance | Accept a Katja Mox handicap and complete 3 planets with it; repeat for another 3 planets | Protection from losing 1 League Token on the first two planets |
| Family Legacy | Win Ary Quill's rival head-to-head race | 200 Credits per takedown on your rival; 400 on Kestar Bool |
| High Roller | Win Fola Kanjen's rival head-to-head race | 50% more Credits from successful Sidebets |
| Brutal Calm | Complete 2 Battling Field Tests from Nik Sandaro | +1 Resilience after an event with at least 5 takedowns |
For rival Favors, repeatedly place Side Bets against the same racer on one planet. Continue betting and beating them on the next planet until the head-to-head challenge appears, then win that race. The head-to-head event is your checkpoint: a routine Sidebet win alone does not complete the Favor route.
Backer Favors need both good race results and the challenges assigned at the start of each planet. Check that your overall rating is Satisfactory when you reach Derven Acos. Simply choosing The Hutt, The Broker, or The Pirate does not satisfy the full condition.
Mad Genius's approximate crash count is not a guaranteed trigger. Racer Roulette's six Sidebet wins describe its equipped reward, not a guaranteed initial unlock count. Avoid deliberately wrecking a healthy Tour or stopping Biddy Blas's encounter chain just because you reached six wins.
For a steady early route, collect the unmissable Clandestine Aid after Act 1 and take Hibi's Field Tests when they appear. Gadgeteer gives you room for another Part, while Feet First later supplies an Ability Pack without a shop purchase. Favors can rank up twice through use in Galactic Tours; see STAR WARS Galactic Racer Favors for their upgraded benefits.
How do you unlock more abilities?
Buy an Ability Pack from Hibi's Shop during a Tour for 2,500 Credits, or earn one occasionally through planet-map event rewards. The pack presents a choice; selecting an ability you lack unlocks it for you to equip.
- Visit Hibi's Shop on the current planet and look for the Ability Pack.
- Compare its 2,500-Credit cost with repairs and vehicle-stat upgrades you need to keep the Tour alive.
- Choose the ability you want from the pack. Confirm the result by checking that you can equip it to your vehicle between each planet's series of races.
Packs can also offer upgraded versions of abilities you already own. The basic set includes Autopilot, Concussion Mine, Ion Bolt, Ion Blast, Shield, Shockwave, Status Scrubber, Surge, and Vent. Some Racer Styles provide starting abilities too, so check your style before paying for a pack solely to obtain an effect you already start with.
Repairing a fault can be the steadier purchase when your vehicle is struggling. An extra ability is useful only if you survive long enough to use it. Compare the effects on STAR WARS Galactic Racer abilities before committing your Credits.
What multiplayer rank unlocks each racer?
Shade is listed as available by default, and the character list assigns the other racers rank targets up to Multiplayer Rank 40. The individual targets below still need game-screen confirmation.
Two descriptions differ in scope: on October 11, 2026, styles outside the campaign are described as already unlocked or preset according to the event; on October 6, 2026, multiplayer characters are described as rank-gated. Do not interpret access to a style as proof that every character is selectable.
| Multiplayer racer | Rank target awaiting confirmation |
|---|---|
| Shade | Default |
| Katja Mox | 2 |
| Griff Halloran | 4 |
| Ary Quill | 6 |
| Soren Zaks | 8 |
| Nik Skandaro | 12 |
| Goli & O2-R0 | 18 |
| Fola Kanjen | 22 |
| Sen Fira | 24 |
| Biddy Blas | 26 |
| Malis Vazosk | 30 |
| Lyren Shok | 34 |
| Kestar Bool | 40 |
Earn multiplayer XP through racing and the daily challenges at the bottom of the Multiplayer menu. Finishing position and consecutive races also contribute. After reaching a listed rank, check character selection before planning a build around that racer; no one has confirmed every target in this table against the selection screen.
Do you need to unlock podracing in the campaign first?
You can enter podracing immediately through Arcade without completing the campaign's Sebulba events. Open Arcade's Podracing tab; earning at least a bronze medal on the previous track unlocks the next track. Check for that medal and the next event becoming available before moving on.
In the campaign, speak to Sebulba when he appears in Act 2 or Act 3 to access Tales of Podracing. Completing the first event earns Feet First, and completing them all earns Old Greats. Those Favor conditions are separate from Arcade access.
Multiplayer offers Quick Podrace and Podracing Tour, with the latter unlocking at Multiplayer Rank 5. Podracers have no visual customization or permanent upgrades. Parts, abilities, and stat improvements can carry into a podrace within the same Tour, but the Podracer does not retain them after that Tour ends.
How do you unlock vehicle classes, models, and liveries?
Use Tuning Points to unlock the campaign's Speeder Bike and Skim Speeder classes and buy permanent upgrades; the campaign starts with the Landspeeder. No complete class-price table or item-by-item cosmetic checklist has been confirmed.
For campaign cosmetics, finish your current run and open vehicle selection before a fresh Tour. Highlight your machine and press Square on PS5 or X on Xbox. Confirm that the garage opens with Choose Model, Edit Vehicle, and Edit Livery. Deluxe and claimed pre-order cosmetics appear here too.
There are two currency descriptions: the October 7, 2026 wording assigns cosmetic models and paint jobs to Kit Points; the October 8, 2026 wording assigns new cosmetic parts, paint schemes, and finishes to Tuning Points. Follow the newer Tuning Points description for planning, then read the currency on your purchase prompt before spending. The currency screen has not been checked to settle the difference.
Cosmetic models and body components do not improve base stats. Prioritize performance upgrades until you can win comfortably, then spend spare points on appearance. Applying your first skin or livery unlocks Let's Build a Real Racer. For the garage options, continue to STAR WARS Galactic Racer customization.
Can you earn Deluxe and pre-order rewards by racing?
Deluxe and pre-order items are purchase bonuses with their own access conditions, so use edition ownership rather than campaign milestones to identify them.
Deluxe includes the Kor Sarun: Ciza T speeder bike, Kor Sarun: Darc X landspeeder, and Kor Sarun: Rak S skim speeder, plus three exclusive Arcade events, a Naboo N-1-inspired livery, a multiplayer banner with an Insignia and Background, and a digital art book. The skim speeder also appears as Rac S in the April 30, 2026 announcement; the store and its matching item description use Rak S.
PC pre-order bonuses include an orange livery for landspeeders, speeder bikes, and skim speeders, plus a Player Banner. Deluxe content is also offered through the Deluxe Upgrade. Check STAR WARS Galactic Racer Deluxe Edition before buying an upgrade for a reward you may already own.
Once you meet a campaign requirement, you gain another style, Favor, or equipment choice for future racing. Keep that expanded selection separate from upgrades that last only for the current Tour: campaign Logbook unlocks define which Parts and upgrades can appear in Multiplayer Tour, but the upgrades you buy there end with that Tour. With your next unlock chosen, head to STAR WARS Galactic Racer best build to decide how to use it.
