The campaign starts you in a landspeeder, and everything else opens as you earn points. The star wars galactic racer vehicles list has four classes: landspeeders, speeder bikes, skim speeders and podracers. The first three race each other; podracers get their own events. In the campaign you unlock the speeder bike for 10 Tuning Points and the skim speeder for 20 Tuning Points.
What are the four vehicle classes?
| Class | How it drives | Signature trick |
|---|---|---|
| Landspeeder | Strong acceleration, top speed and durability | Drifts through corners |
| Speeder bike | Fast and nimble, but fragile | Kinetic Burst: stores braking energy and releases it as a speed boost |
| Skim speeder | A balance between the landspeeder and the bike | Knife Edge |
| Podracer | Very fast with little room for mistakes | Races only against other podracers |
If you keep crashing out, the landspeeder is the forgiving pick; it takes hits the bike cannot. The bike pays off once you can brake hard into corners and cash that energy back in with Kinetic Burst.
How do you unlock more vehicles in the campaign?
You can only drive the landspeeder at first. The other two standard classes cost Tuning Points.
Earn Tuning Points
Finish any regular Race for 1 Tuning Point, whatever your position. An Eliminator pays 4 Tuning Points if you finish in the top three, so Eliminators are the faster way to save up.
Open Vehicle Select at the start of a Tour
The unlock happens on the Vehicle Select screen that appears when a Tour begins, so save your points until the next Tour starts.
Unlock the bike or skim speeder
Spend 10 Tuning Points on the speeder bike or 20 Tuning Points on the skim speeder. You know it worked when that class shows up as selectable on Vehicle Select.
Tuning Points also buy permanent upgrades, so each class unlock competes with upgrades for the same points. If the landspeeder already suits you, you lose nothing by upgrading it first.
What do Kit Points buy?
Kit Points pay for cosmetic models and liveries. A kit changes how your vehicle looks, not how it handles; kits in the same class drive the same.
One database of the game lists 50 kits: 12 landspeeders, 12 speeder bikes, 12 skim speeders and 14 podracers. Most standard kits cost 100 Kit Points.
| Class | Owned from the campaign start | Deluxe Edition | 100 Kit Points each |
|---|---|---|---|
| Landspeeder | ARZ 41 | Kor Sarun: Darc X | Dre'shi, Jakobeast, KJC 99, Magus, Napaco D, NL-4, Starweb, Vornskr, WI-9, Zak'nee |
| Speeder bike | RAR 27 | Kor Sarun: Ciza T | AM-1, DRD 61, Killion, KO-5, Kreed, Novyok, Pel'ake, Revasi G, Ri'con, Zillo |
| Skim speeder | MSM 04 | Kor Sarun: Rak S | Cesca, HC-8, Mok'si, Rathtar, Reek, SAH 66, Sling, SU-3, Ta'han, Wist L |
The Deluxe skim speeder is spelled Rak S on the Steam store and Rac S in the April 30, 2026 announcement. It is one vehicle. If you bought Standard, the Deluxe Upgrade DLC adds these three kits.
Can you drive every podracer?
The 14 podracer kits in that database are marked as not purchasable with Kit Points: Ben Quadinaros's, Dud Bolt's, Gasgano's, Ody Mandrell's and Teemto Pagalies's podracers, aged versions of four of them, Kestar Bool's, Sebulba's, and three phases of Shade's podracer. How you get each one, and whether every variant ends up drivable, still has to be pinned down by players.
What you can count on is how podracing opens: Arcade from the start, Sebulba's memory races in campaign Act 2, Shade's own podracer in Act 3, and online once you reach Multiplayer Rank 5.

The star wars galactic racer podracer page walks through each of those routes. Once you have a class you like, check which planets suit it on the star wars galactic racer how many tracks page, or compare the Deluxe extras on the STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ Deluxe Edition page.
