Star Wars Galactic Racer has six upgradeable stats: Cornering, Resilience, Ramjet, Afterburner, Battery, and one cornering move that depends on the vehicle. You raise them permanently with Tuning Points (up to Level 15) and temporarily during a Tour through stat picks after events, Upgrade Packs and parts. In the campaign, upgrade Cornering and Resilience first, then Ramjet; in a short multiplayer tour, go for speed: Ramjet, Afterburner and Battery.
What does each stat do?
| Stat | What it improves | Campaign priority |
|---|---|---|
| Cornering | How quickly and tightly you take corners without drifting | Highest |
| Resilience | Damage, Malfunctions and negative status effects | Highest |
| Ramjet | How much boost the Ramjet gives and how long before it overheats | High |
| Afterburner | Acceleration, deceleration and the gentler Afterburner boost | Medium |
| Battery | Maximum Energy for abilities | Depends on your abilities |
| Vehicle move | Landspeeder: Drift. Speeder Bike: Kinetic Burst. Skim Speeder: Knife Edge | Depends on the vehicle |
Your top Speed isn't one of the six; it goes up when you fit new parts.
How do you get upgrades?
Tuning Points (permanent). You earn them at the end of every Tour, win or lose. Spend them at the start of the next Tour to raise a vehicle's base stats, one step per level up to Level 15, or to unlock vehicles: the Speeder Bike costs 10 and the Skim Speeder 20 (the Landspeeder is free). Spend them on the vehicle you actually race.
Stat picks (this Tour only). After Races and Eliminators the game offers three random stat options; take the one that fits your plan.
Parts and Upgrade Packs. Rewards screens and Hibi's shop offer parts with specific effects, and Hibi sells Upgrade Packs (1,500 credits in KeenGamer's run). Read what each card does before you take it.

Star Wars HQ goes through upgrade and ability choices for multiplayer:
Which upgrades are best?
There's no single best upgrade for every vehicle and mode. These are the priorities guide writers recommend:
Campaign: Cornering and Resilience first
Speed is useless if you wreck out, and a Tour ends when you lose your last League Entry Token. Cornering means fewer wall hits and safer lava and acid routes; Resilience protects you from AI rams, mines and Ion Bolts, and from Critical Malfunctions that can leave you with a Faulty Part to repair. Add Ramjet after that for the speed to beat Kestar Bool.
On Champion difficulty, put Resilience at the very top: your crashes only refill (by three) when you reach a new planet.
Multiplayer: go for speed
A multiplayer tour has only six races, so early picks matter more. Star Wars HQ recommends Ramjet and Afterburner, plus Battery so you can actually use speed abilities like Vent and Surge. Their favourite ability is Flame Vent: it hits back at rivals and cools your Ramjet so you can boost longer.

By vehicle
The Landspeeder row follows KeenGamer's campaign guide; the others are Star Wars HQ's multiplayer picks.
| Vehicle | Upgrade first | Then |
|---|---|---|
| Landspeeder | Cornering, Drift | Resilience, Afterburner, later Ramjet and Battery |
| Speeder Bike | Cornering (it's fast but fragile) | Ramjet, Afterburner |
| Skim Speeder | Ramjet, Afterburner | Abilities that support them |
| Podracer | All-in on speed | Don't bother much with Resilience; it stays fragile anyway |
How do you max two stats in one Tour?
The trophy The Real Soul of Racing needs two stats at maximum in a single Tour. Cornering and Resilience are the safest pair:
- Before the Tour, put all permanent points into those two stats.
- Pick routes with lots of Races and Eliminators, since each ends with a stat pick.
- Take only those two stats whenever they're offered.
- Visit Hibi on every planet and put each Upgrade Pack into them.
Once both are capped, spend the rest on Ramjet or Afterburner.
