CampaignOctober 2026

You meet the race locations as Shade's campaign moves across the galaxy, and the same planets come back in multiplayer tours. If you are asking star wars galactic racer how many tracks there are, the clearest answer at launch is seven named racing locations: Jakku, Lantaana, Ando Prime, Sentinel One, Derven Acos, Crait and Tatooine. Several of them hold more than one layout, so the number of individual tracks is higher than seven, and nobody has published a full layout count yet.

Which planets can you race on?

LocationWhat the course looks likeHazard to plan for
JakkuDesert runs past the wreck of a crashed Imperial shipThe campaign's starter planet, so this is where you learn the basics
LantaanaForest, flowing water, caves and lavaWater extends your Ramjet; lava cuts your boost and destroys you if you sit in it
Ando PrimeFrozen terrainCold extends your Ramjet, but freezing hurts handling; heaters on the course stop it
Sentinel OneSeveral track variantsAcid corrodes your vehicle and can force a reset
Derven AcosAn arena built for the Galactic LeagueMixes the conditions you met on the earlier planets
CraitSalt flats over red crystalRed dust kicked up by other racers blocks your view
TatooineDesert courseUsed mainly for flat-out Podracing

Pre-release coverage from September listed six locations and spelled one of them "Sentinel I". The October 7 launch guides add Crait and write it as Sentinel One. Treat those as the same planet, not two.

How do the planet hazards change your race?

Each planet bends the same driving rules in its own way, so the planet tells you more about how to race than the track name does.

Lantaana looks like a jungle course at first, but it is really a heat and water puzzle. Staying on the water lines keeps your Ramjet going longer, which is the safer line when you want a long boost. The lava is the trap: touching it drains your boost, and lingering on it ends your run. If your boost meter suddenly drops on Lantaana, check whether you clipped a lava patch.

Ando Prime works the other way round. The cold helps your Ramjet, yet freezing makes the vehicle slide. Route through the heaters on the course whenever the freeze starts to build, rather than fighting a frozen vehicle through the next corners.

Sentinel One is the planet where a bad line costs the most. Acid eats at your vehicle and can reset you outright, so the steadier choice is a clean line around the acid, even if it looks slower.

Crait is mostly a visibility problem. When you sit behind other racers, their red dust hides the track. Pass early or take a different line so you can see the next turn.

Derven Acos is the League's purpose-built arena and throws the earlier planets' conditions at you together. Every hazard above can matter there, so it rewards having learned them first.

Is there a Mos Espa track?

Yes. The official story announcement names the Mos Espa Circuit, and in the campaign the first Tales of Podracing memory race, Memories of Mos Espa, is set on Tatooine. See the star wars galactic racer podracer page for how those unlock.

How many tracks are there in total?

Seven named locations are certain. The exact track total is still open, because Sentinel One alone has several variants and no one has listed every layout, reversed version or mode-only course yet. Be careful with lists built from soundtrack titles; music track names are not race tracks.

Once you know the planets, the next step is picking what to drive on them. The star wars galactic racer vehicles page covers the four vehicle classes, and the star wars galactic racer multiplayer page explains the online tours that take you across several of these planets.
