Start HereOctober 7, 2026

Start by choosing a camera view for your first race, then decide whether to follow Shade's campaign or race with friends. This star wars galactic racer guide connects the edition, multiplayer, racer, PC and trophy pages for STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™. Crossplay is enabled by default across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, but online parties currently support up to 3 players. First-person camera support is confirmed; native VR has no official implementation plans as of October 7, 2026.

Guide: Camera Controls

Use the STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ first person guide to switch between distant chase, close chase and vehicle-front views. Press R1 on PlayStation, RB on Xbox or Insert on keyboard to cycle cameras. From the default distant chase view, two presses reach first-person and a third returns to distant chase. Start with distant chase if you want a wider view of the track and nearby racers.

Editions

Compare the STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ Deluxe Edition with Standard and Collector's before choosing your version. Deluxe includes three exclusive vehicles, three Arcade events, a Naboo N-1-inspired Livery, a Player Banner and a 73-page Digital Art Book. Collector's adds physical collectibles alongside the Deluxe extras. Eligibility for pre-order bonuses on purchases made after launch is not confirmed yet.

Multiplayer

Read the STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ multiplayer guide to plan your group around the current 3-player party limit. An increase to 6-player parties is planned for the first few weeks after launch; a released update enabling that increase is not confirmed yet. Party size and the number of racers in an event are separate limits.

The STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ cross play page covers PC versions on Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Leave crossplay enabled when friends use different platforms. The exact toggle location and cross-platform friend invitation steps are not confirmed yet.

Racers

Begin with the STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ characters overview for Shade, Hibi, Darius Pax and Kestar Bool. Shade is the campaign player character, Hibi is Shade's mechanic and companion, and Kestar is the principal rival.

The STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ Shade page explains the cargo pilot's history on Gathleon and rivalry with Kestar. Campaign customization includes outfits, helmets, appearance and voice selection while retaining Shade's backstory.

To play STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ Ben Quadinaros, enter Multiplayer and select Quick Podrace or an unlocked Podracing Tour. Quick Podrace has 8 players and no upgrades. Podracing Tour unlocks at Multiplayer Rank 5 and takes 8 players across 5 planets, with upgrades after each race. Ben's separate character unlock requirements are not confirmed yet.

PC

Check the STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ VR page before attempting UEVR. An October 6 PC test got racing working after troubleshooting, but menus remained unusable. A complete, stable VR mod and a public downloadable profile are not confirmed yet. The first-person camera does not establish VR support.

Trophies

Use the STAR WARS: Galactic Racer™ trophy list to plan completion: PS5 has 50 trophies including platinum, while Steam has 49 achievements. Platinum requires no DLC and has 0 online trophies. Start by finishing all 3 Campaign Acts on any difficulty to unlock Champion, then plan Act 3 on Champion, Galactic Gauntlet mastery and all 50 base-game Arcade Gold times. Account for Clandestine Aid early: it can only be used in Act 2's Galactic Gauntlet.
